Dear Frey’s Community,

We’re reaching out to ask for your support for one of our own, Maryanne, a smiley staple behind the bar at Frey’s for over two years. On October 24, Maryanne experienced severe head pain and a sudden loss of vision in her left eye. After being rushed to UMMC, doctors discovered a ruptured macro aneurysm near the optic nerve, which caused increased pressure and significant hemorrhaging.

Since the initial onset, Maryanne has endured numerous hospital visits, painful flare-ups, and a major surgery on November 11, which lasted three hours. While her vision prognosis remains uncertain, Maryanne remains cheerfully optimistic and thankful for her skilled medical team. This experience has been physically and emotionally taxing, and she has been unable to work or drive.

To ease her financial burden and show our love and support, we’re organizing a fundraiser in her honor on Saturday, November 30th, from 12 PM to 9 PM. Join us for a day of connection, community, and contribution to this meaningful cause.
Maryanne has been a cherished part of our brewery family, and your kindness and generosity during this challenging time mean the world to her and her loved ones. Please feel free to share this message with anyone who may wish to help.

Let’s come together to make a difference for Maryanne.

Warm regards,
Adam Frey
